Frac Sand Boom in 2018 – US Silica expects frac sand demand to rise further next year

US Silica has forecast that demand for frac sand will go as high as 100 million short tons in 2018, as proppant use per well increases.

The United States-based sand company reported record earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (Ebitda) of $96.7 million in the third quarter of 2017

The number of  frac Stages are going up and so is the Silica sand (frac sand use) along with Diverter. “diverter
help achieve bridging for a highly effective seal and diversion
to another designed zone.
