Texas looks to be a Diversified Energy Producing State

Texas is the #1 energy consumer in the country and its economy and growth are dependent on reliable, secure and sustainable power. Abundant resources, an accessible grid, strong community support and pro-business policies make Texas the right place to invest.

With help from a private company, Renewable energy Company Invenergy is building a 1.31-GW solar farm in Texas that is going to be the biggest in the United States, capable of producing enough energy to power 300,000 households when completed, which is scheduled for 2023.

Invenergy Announces it has Surpassed $5 Billion in Texas Investments. Invenergy has completed more than $5B in transactions for its Texas-based projects, bringing more than 3,000 megawatts of electricity online while creating more than 2,000 construction and 140 operations jobs in the Lone Star state to date.

This news couldn’t be more important now for the State of Texas as the number of total jobs in Texas’ upstream sector dipped in November after showing positive gains in October and November, driven principally by layoffs in the services sector.

The State isn’t giving up on Oil anytime soon. The Texas oil and gas industry is resilient and will remain a cornerstone of our state for decades to come,” Longanecker said.
