Job Summary:
To safely maintain & operate water truck to transport and spray water on road surfaces at the designated location in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
1.Basic knowledge of world events and acceptable interpersonal communication skills
2.Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure (CDL A and/or B), medical card and acceptable driving record.
Duties and/or Responsibilities
1.Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained. Accurately record pre & post-trip inspections on daily vehicle inspection form.
2.Safely operate water truck and water pumps
3.Properly apply water volumes according to road surface
4.Accurately record gallons of water taken from each source staying in compliance with daily limits
5.Assist construction crews while waiting to apply water
6.Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
7.Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
8.Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
9.Performs other duties as assigned.
